CIBA VISION is proud to be offering a DVD – “The Optical Assistant’s Guide to Contact Lenses” - featuring the popular training expert Sarah Morgan at no cost to its customers. After watching the DVD, staff should be able to confidently handle routine enquiries, discuss the benefits of contact lenses, identify a suitable spectacle prescription and discuss when one lens type may be more suitable than another.

Contact lens patients' motives - revealed!

Some interesting insights into contact lens wearers habits and attitudes in the UK have been found in a large scale survey of spectacle and contact lens wearers. Over 3000 patients took part in the survey across Europe, including over 600 in the UK .

CET now available on CIBA VISION^® website
For the first time, practitioners can now gain valuable points towards their mandatory CET requirements through the CIBA VISION website, while at the same time benefiting from world class fitting tips. The presentation "How to optimise presbyopia with contact lenses" given by Pat Caroline at the CIBA VISION Specialist Club meeting in October can now be downloaded from http://cibavisionacademy.co.uk.

Focus^® DAILIES^® PROGRESSIVES UPGRADE
Focus DAILIES PROGRESSIVES are being upgraded to the AquaComfort™ technology 2nd April 2007.

This means presbyopes can now also benefit from blink activated release of PVA throughout the day.

Orders flowing in again for AIR OPTIX^®
Following the voluntary recall of selected batches of AIR OPTIX in January the core parameters are now back in stock. Powers from -1.00D to -6.00D can be ordered as usual. On average 85% of lenses fitted fall into this core range so most patients can again be supplied.
