| The daily disposable contact lens market is growing at 8.2%, almost three times as fast as the monthly/ 2 weekly modality1. What’s more is that the 24% growth rate of the daily disposable toric lens market has far outpaced that of other toric soft contact lenses that have grown at just 2.5%1. As there is still considerable scope for the daily disposable toric market to continue to grow, there is an opportunity for practitioners to tap into this fast growing market.
We are delighted to announce that Focus® DAILIES® TORIC with AquaComfort™ will soon be available in four additional axes. In addition to the current 90° and 180° axes, the four new axes are: 20°, 70°, 110°, 160°. A total of six axes, Focus® DAILIES® TORIC with AquaComfort™ offers the coverage required to satisfy almost 80% of all astigmatic patients2.
New scribe marks will be an additional feature of the Focus® DAILIES® TORIC with AquaComfort™ to enable practitioners to easily measure rotation and accuracy of fitting. Also, to assist the patient in inserting the lenses, new inversion marks will be of added benefit.
The Dual Thin Zone Design of the Focus® DAILIES® TORIC offers stability, comfort and stable vision, with 99% of lenses having acceptable or optimal fit at dispensing3. Furthermore, Focus® DAILIES® TORIC with AquaComfort™ is the only toric lens with a blink-activated moisturising agent. Small amounts of the moisturising agent are gradually released from the lens surface with each blink, helping to stabilise the tear film for all day comfort.
The new additional axes, scribe marks and inversion marks will be available from the 1st May. Additionally, to offer more convenience for your patients, and greater profitability for you, Focus® DAILIES® TORIC with AquaComfort™ lenses will be available in a 90 pack in most parameters.
